When the Israel Defense Forces expanded combat roles open to women, the fit problem became impossible to paper over. Plate carriers sized around male torso geometry. Waistbands that rode wrong under a loaded rig. Sleeve lengths that buried the hands before a trigger was ever touched. These weren't tailoring complaints — in a live operation, gear that doesn't fit correctly slows you down, restricts draw, and puts you at a disadvantage before the situation even develops. That specific, documented gap is what drove Strike20 to build tactical apparel and load-bearing equipment engineered from the ground up around female body geometry, then lab-tested in Israel under the same conditions we apply to every product that leaves our facility.
The Gap Is Operational, Not Cosmetic
This is worth stating plainly, because the tactical industry has a long history of treating female-fit gear as a marketing exercise — shrink it, pink it, call it done. That approach produces gear that looks different but fails the same way. The problems Strike20 set out to solve are mechanical ones: torso length proportions that affect plate positioning, shoulder width differentials that change how a carrier rides under load, hip geometry that determines whether a cummerbund actually stabilizes or simply constricts.
